It’s been a wonderful fortnight at Little Owls …our garden is springing into life , our herbs and veggies are growing happily and we so enjoy watering them spotting how they have grown .
This week we played a sensory game , with a blind fold on we guessed which herb we were smelling ?…it was great fun and also continued to support our knowledge and understanding of our growing herbs …
On the carpet we have enjoyed looking more closely at identifying sounds and seeing if we can hear rhyme…building our early literacy skills.
We had an absolute blast celebrating the coronation with a garden party and Moo Music came along too , so we celebrated in style dancing and singing together with great delight ..
We have been very excited to see how our caterpillars have grown , we can’t wait to see their chrysalises…out at Forest school we made our own butterfly’s and enjoyed singing a caterpillar life cycle song.
Our magic beans that we planted in tissue have sprouted into life and we have enjoyed measuring them whilst learning all about the different parts of the plants…the roots, stems, leaves and even wondering where on the plant the flower might appear?
This week we have begun practising some sports day fun too …staying in those lanes …wheeling our barrows …balancing our eggs ….so many superb skills being mastered …Happy weekend Little Owls family
