”Through the outstanding key-person system children are emotionally secure. This provides an excellent base for children to explore and gain confidence” Ofsted, 2016
During the all important “formative” years from 2 to 5 children have a natural desire for and a love of learning and our highly qualified and motivated staff ensure that we provide a loving, caring, safe environment in which all our children are given the opportunity to grow and develop in every aspect of their life.
Outdoor learning has always been fundamental to the approach of Little Owls and we are pleased to now be taking that development a step further through our new Forest School programme.
Our motivation is that learning should be enjoyable, exciting and fun and we are confident that children will find Little Owls a place where they can discover their world, learn and explore new experiences through play and these experiences will stay with them forever. We have an absolute commitment to the safeguarding of children.
We recognise that each child is unique and in partnership with parents we aim to provide an enabling environment for every child to reach their full potential.
“Hello I’m Kathryn, I joined Little Owls in October 2019 as a practitioner after moving to Dorset from Yorkshire with my Husband and our little dog. I was given the exciting opportunity to become pre-school manager in January 2021. Little Owls is a fun, nurturing and exciting environment, where children are provided with wonderful opportunities right from the beginning of their educational journey. I enjoy working at Little Owls because everyday is different and it’s a very happy place to be. I like to go on long dog walks in my spare time and explore Dorset and it’s beautiful surroundings.”
“Hi I’m Wendy, I live locally and I’m married with two grown up children. I have worked at Little Owls for 20 years and love our countryside setting and our family feel which enhances our children to a great start to their education. My hobbies are running, walking my dog in our lovely countryside, cooking and when I can visiting European cities.”
