This week we have focused on “Rock” ….what is rock?…why is it sometimes smooth ?…sometimes rough?…. Where does it come from….? ….we enjoyed matching and sorting lots of different types of rocks that we found on our Forest school rock foraging hunt ! We also made our very own Rock pets using natural resources ….enjoying all the creativity and imaginative fun that adding stick eyebrows and pebble noses to rocks brings …

On the carpet we have enjoyed looking at fossils in rocks and have been exploring Number sentences on our magnetic whiteboard ….we had a try at using our fingers tapping our nose to support accurate one to one counting skills …
